Late Rally Defines Win
Wyatt Langford provided the decisive blow in the ninth inning, singling to left field to drive in Osuna and secure a 7-6 victory for the Texas Rangers over the Los Angeles Angels. The win marked Langford’s return from the injured list, as his hit completed a dramatic comeback that saw Texas erase a five-run deficit in the final innings.
The game began with the Angels seizing control early. In the first inning, Nimmo homered to left center, a 394-foot shot that gave Los Angeles an early 1-0 lead. Burger followed with a single to left, allowing Jung to score and extend the advantage to 2-0. The Angels added to their lead in the third inning when Trout grounded out, allowing Meckler to score, making it 2-1. Duran then homered to center, a 419-foot blast that scored Nimmo and pushed the Angels’ lead to 4-1. Foscue extended the margin in the fourth inning with a home run to center, a 429-foot shot that made the score 5-1.
Angels Extend Lead in Sixth
Los Angeles continued to dominate in the sixth inning. Foscue hit a ground-rule double, allowing Cauley to score and increasing the Angels’ lead to 6-1. The Rangers began their comeback in the seventh inning. Meckler singled to right, bringing Guzman home to make it 6-2. Schanuel then singled to center, driving in two runs to narrow the gap to 6-4. Soler followed with a single to center, scoring Trout to make it 6-5. Adell completed the rally with a single to left, scoring Schanuel and tying the game at 6-6.
