A 57-year-old man from Annetta, Charles Dewayne Ford, has been charged with several drug-related offenses following an investigation by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force and Kentucky Probation and Parole. The incident occurred on Tuesday at a residence located in the 10200 block of Anneta Road.

Law enforcement officials reported that Ford was found in possession of a marijuana grow operation within his closet, along with packaged methamphetamine believed to be intended for resale and approximately $2,000 in cash. Authorities noted that Ford attempted to conceal the marijuana by placing it in a Ziploc bag and hiding it under other items in his closet.

Additionally, officers discovered a notebook containing evidence related to suspected narcotics trafficking and marijuana cultivation. Ford has been arrested and taken to the Grayson County Detention Center.

He faces multiple charges, including first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for possessing two grams or more of methamphetamine, cultivating marijuana (five plants or more) as a second or more offense, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

Ford is noted to have a prior conviction for trafficking in methamphetamine from September 2022 in Edmonson County and is currently on probation until 2030. The investigation into his activities is ongoing, and further details have not yet been disclosed.
