Avelo Airlines has announced plans to launch service from McKinney National Airport, located in McKinney, which is about 7 miles west of Princeton. The carrier will introduce five new routes starting in mid-November, connecting the North Texas community to popular leisure destinations in the Southwest and Southeast.
Service to Las Vegas will begin on Thursday, Nov. 12. Flights will operate four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, utilizing Harry Reid International Airport as the destination.
The airline will also begin flights to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Thursday, Nov. 19. This route will see five weekly departures on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Fort Myers, Florida, will be the first destination served, with flights beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 11. Avelo will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays to Southwest Florida International Airport.
Orlando International Airport will be added to the network on Thursday, Nov. 12. Similar to the Las Vegas and Fort Lauderdale routes, this connection will offer five flights per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Tampa International Airport will be the final new destination, with service starting on Thursday, Nov. 19. These flights will operate four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
