Regular unleaded averages $3.6112 in the Dallas area, down from yesterday, up from last week and above the Texas average.

Princeton, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.6112 per gallon for regular unleaded on August 9, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.6397 yesterday. That is up from $3.5489 a week ago but higher than $3.3787 a month ago.

The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.5569, while the national average is $4.0121. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying above the state average and below the national average.

The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 23 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7224, drivers are paying about 89 cents more per gallon.

Diesel in the Dallas area averages $4.9185 per gallon, AAA reported.
