Budget and Waste Updates
The Princeton City Council convened for a Work Session and Special Meeting on Monday, September 21, 2026. During the session, council members received an update regarding the Proposed FY 2026–27 Budget.
Discussions also covered Community Waste Disposal (CWD) services. The council reviewed proposed annual rates for trash and recycling services. Additionally, officials outlined planned changes to residential collection routes scheduled to take effect in November. These adjustments are intended to allow CWD to serve residents more efficiently. The agenda included a review of CWD’s annual performance, which addressed service metrics, recycling efforts, and community activities.
Approvals and Hearings
All items on the Consent Agenda were approved without objection. The council held a public hearing regarding the Proposed FY 2026-2027 Budget to allow for public comment and discussion.
Regarding the Princeton-180 Public Improvement District, the council held a public hearing and approved an ordinance establishing assessments for improvements benefiting properties in Phase 1 of the district.
Several items were removed from the agenda during the meeting. The Council Employee Recognition item was withdrawn. A proposed item concerning the Princeton Town Center was also withdrawn because it had already been approved by operational law on September 11, 2026.
