The Princeton Utility has officially lifted the boil water advisory that was in effect for local residents. The directive, which required customers to boil tap water before use, is no longer active.

The utility issued the initial orders on August 5 and August 7. Officials stated that the advisory applied to a specific area within the service zone.

To determine when it was safe to resume normal usage, officials collected water samples from the affected region. Laboratory results for these samples returned satisfactory readings.

Because the test results met safety standards, the utility announced that residents no longer need to boil their water. The previous restrictions have been fully removed.

Details regarding the specific cause of the initial advisory or the exact boundaries of the affected area are not yet clear.
