Residents of Valley View, Texas, have been advised to conserve water due to a malfunction at one of the city's water wells. City officials announced that repairs began on Thursday and are expected to take one to two days.

Although the city's reserve water tanks are currently full, officials are requesting that residents limit their water usage to ensure a sufficient supply for household needs, public safety, and emergency services during the repair period.

To facilitate this, the city has implemented several restrictions, including a ban on watering lawns, landscaping, or gardens; filling or refilling swimming pools and hot tubs; washing vehicles unless necessary for public safety or commercial purposes; and cleaning driveways and other paved surfaces. Residents are encouraged to avoid all unnecessary water usage.

Cooke County Emergency Services mentioned that while contractors estimate the repairs will take one to two days, this timeframe may change. They do not expect any boil water notices at this time but will provide updates if the situation changes. Officials emphasized that any unnecessary water usage could worsen the situation, urging residents to stay informed for further updates.
