Standout Performance
Austin Riley provided the offensive spark for the Atlanta Braves, hitting two home runs to help lead his team to an 8-5 victory over the Texas Rangers on Sunday. Riley’s power display included a 416-foot blast to left field in the second inning and a 413-foot shot to center field in the fourth.
He also contributed a two-run single in the seventh inning that extended Atlanta’s lead.
Kyle Tucker was equally impactful, driving in three runs during the game. His scoring came via a sacrifice fly in the first inning and a run-scoring single in the seventh. Additionally, Tyler Austin hit two home runs for the Rangers, including a solo shot in the ninth inning, while Michael Harris II added a double in the fifth.

The Braves took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when Michael Harris II hit a sacrifice fly to right field, allowing Austin Riley to score. Atlanta doubled that lead in the second inning when Riley homered to left.
The Rangers remained scoreless through the third inning, where Riley added another home run, this time to right-center field, making the score 4-0.
The Rangers began their comeback attempt in the fifth inning. With two outs, Adolis Garcia doubled to left, allowing Marcus Semien to score. Garcia then scored on a sacrifice fly by Corey Seager, and Seager himself scored on a single by Josh Jung, cutting the deficit to 4-3.
