Jacob deGrom delivered a commanding performance to lead the Texas Rangers to a 4-2 victory over the Boston Red Sox at Globe Life Field. The Rangers starter worked five innings, allowing two earned runs while striking out eight batters. His outing secured his 11th win of the season, improving his record to 11-9.
DeGrom’s ability to miss bats was a key factor in containing Boston’s offense. He walked only one batter during his time on the mound, keeping the Red Sox hitters off balance throughout his five-inning stint. The Rangers’ pitching staff collectively kept Boston’s scoring in check after an early deficit, allowing just two earned runs over the course of the game.
Early Scoring and Comeback
