DeGrom Dominates on Mound
Jacob deGrom delivered a masterful performance on the mound, pitching seven scoreless innings to lead the Texas Rangers to an 8-1 victory over the Oakland Athletics. The starting pitcher allowed just one hit and issued zero walks while striking out eight batters. His efficiency was absolute; he retired every batter faced in order, keeping the Athletics' offense completely silenced for the majority of the game.
Supporting deGrom, Robby Ahlstrom worked a perfect inning in relief, recording two strikeouts without allowing any hits or walks. Ben Peoples entered in the ninth inning and finished the game, though he did allow one earned run on two hits while striking out one batter.
Rangers Offense Explodes
