A Decisive First Quarter

The Texas A&M Aggies established control of the game early on Saturday at Kyle Field, defeating the Arkansas Razorbacks 34-7. The home team’s offense generated momentum immediately, outscoring the visitors 14-0 in the opening period to set a tone that would define the afternoon.

Carsyn Baker opened the scoring for the Aggies with a 2-yard run, followed by David Olano’s kick to make it 7-0. Texas A&M doubled its advantage shortly after when KJ Edwards broke away for a 20-yard touchdown run.

The third quarter saw KJ Edwards continue his dominant performance with a 3-yard touchdown run, increasing the score to 31-7. The Aggies’ defense held firm, preventing any significant Arkansas response as the game progressed into the fourth quarter.

Closing Out the Contest

David Olano capped the scoring with a 50-yard field goal in the final period, securing the 34-7 victory for Texas A&M. The win improves the Aggies’ record to 3-2 on the season, while Arkansas drops to 2-3.

KJ Edwards was instrumental in the offensive effort, rushing for 66 yards on 11 carries and scoring two touchdowns. Marcel Reed contributed significantly through the air, completing 13 of 19 passes for 170 yards. On the receiving end, Kiotti Armstrong recorded a key 54-yard reception.

For Arkansas, KJ Jackson passed for 111 yards on 13-of-25 passing with one touchdown and one interception. Sutton Smith led the Razorbacks’ ground game with 41 yards on six carries, while Chris Marshall caught seven passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.

The final tally reflects Texas A&M’s superior execution across all phases of the game. The Aggies capitalized on early opportunities and maintained pressure throughout, resulting in a decisive win in front of 108,657 fans at Kyle Field.
