The Houston Texans have signed cornerback Bryce Hall to strengthen their roster as they prepare for a preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. General manager Nick Caserio confirmed the signing on August 17, following Hall's workout with the team.

Hall, who is 28 years old, has a background with the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was selected 158th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft during the fifth round. Over his career, Hall has made 26 starts in 40 games, recording a total of 122 tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery, one defensive touchdown, and half a sack.

At 6-foot-1, he brings versatility to the team and is expected to help improve the special teams unit, which the Texans are currently looking to enhance.

The Texans are dealing with injury issues in their secondary, with several players, including Tank Dell and Brevin Jordan, sidelined due to various injuries. This situation makes Hall's signing particularly timely as he aims to provide additional depth and experience. Further updates regarding the Texans' roster and injury status are expected as the preseason continues.
