Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins remains uncertain for the Week 3 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts after sitting out two consecutive practices with a hamstring injury. Houston has one practice left before Sunday’s game, and the team had not announced a final decision on Collins.
Collins hurt the hamstring during preparations for Week 2 and was sidelined against the Cincinnati Bengals. In Houston’s 36-31 loss to Buffalo in Week 1, he caught seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets. If he is unavailable at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Jaylin Noel, Xavier Hutchinson and Kayshon Boutte could see more chances.
Tight end Dalton Schultz has produced the most downfield yardage for the Texans through two games, with 175 receiving yards on 16 receptions.
Collins would next be eligible to return in Week 4, when Houston is scheduled to host the Dallas Cowboys. The 27-year-old has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons, including 1,117 in 2025, putting that run at risk. Collins played for the Michigan Wolverines and received an offseason contract adjustment from Houston.
