The Houston Texans are looking into the potential signing of Jaden Davis, a cornerback who has previously played for the Arizona Cardinals. Recently, Davis was cleared to play and took part in a workout with the Texans, according to a report from KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson on September 5.

Davis was drafted by the Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, being the 226th overall selection. A video shared on social media showcased his readiness to make a return to the field.

The Texans are aiming to strengthen their cornerback position, which has been impacted by injuries this season, a situation that has been ongoing since 2025. Currently, Jalen Pitre, a safety, is stepping in for the nickelback position, while Jaylin Smith, a third-round selection from the 2025 draft, has missed a considerable amount of time during his rookie season due to injuries.

Davis was recognized in The Athletic's draft guide as one of the leading prospects still available. NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein characterized him as a nickel corner with notable foot speed and agility, though he mentioned that improving his anticipation skills would be beneficial for his NFL performance.

Further updates regarding Davis's potential signing with the Texans are anticipated as developments unfold.
