TCU wide receiver Jordan Dwyer is expected to be available for the Horned Frogs’ Big 12 opener against UCF on Sept. 26, although his status has not been confirmed beyond coach Sonny Dykes’ update. Dwyer has missed TCU’s first three games because of a foot injury.
Dykes made the announcement after TCU’s 31-7 win over Arkansas State, saying Dwyer’s return would give the team a lift. TCU enters conference play with a 2-1 record.
Dwyer transferred to TCU from Idaho and had a productive 2025 season. He started all of the team’s regular-season games, recording 54 catches for 730 yards and seven touchdowns. In his TCU debut against North Carolina, he had nine receptions for 136 yards and one touchdown.
During Dwyer’s absence, Ed Small has emerged as one of TCU’s leading receivers. Tight end Kari Ashley also contributed against Arkansas State, giving quarterback Jaden Craig additional passing options during the opening games.
