The Cowboys will be without four defensive players Sunday against the Ravens in Brazil: DeMarvion Overshown, P.J. Locke, Malik Hooker and Cobie Durant. None practiced during the week, and none traveled to Brazil. Three of the four are defensive starters, while Locke is Dallas’ third safety and a primary reserve.
Dallas’ defense ranks 29th among the NFL’s 32 teams through two games this season, after finishing among the league’s bottom three in total defense in 2025. The unit will face a Baltimore offense led by quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry.
Team executive vice president Stephen Jones said Overshown and Hooker could have an opportunity to play in Week 4 at Houston. Overshown has a hamstring strain, and Hooker is dealing with a fractured forearm. Both were injured in the season opener against the Giants and missed the Week 2 win over Washington.
Overshown is the defense’s signal caller, but neither player has been cleared, and the source did not say either is likely to return. Durant has a hamstring injury, while Locke has a foot injury. Neither is expected to be ready for Houston.
