The New England Patriots have traded wide receiver Kayshon Boutte to the Houston Texans, acquiring Jaylen Reed along with a seventh-round draft choice in 2028. This move comes as the Patriots' roster has become crowded with the additions of AJ Brown and Romeo Doubs, limiting Boutte's playing time.
Head coach Mike Vrabel noted that the trade would provide Boutte with a better opportunity to contribute in Houston rather than remaining on the sidelines in New England.
