Oziyah Sellers is now part of SMU’s men’s basketball program after enrolling at the school, which announced the addition. The fifth-year guard is practicing with the team, but SMU has not received a decision on whether he is eligible to play, and the announcement did not include a timeline.
Sellers started 36 games for St. John’s during the 2025-26 season. He averaged 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists as the Red Storm went 30-7 and captured the Big East championship. Before that, he started every game for Stanford in 2024-25 and averaged 13.7 points per game in the ACC.
The guard spent his first two college seasons at USC under SMU coach Andy Enfield. Sellers has made 37.8% of his three-point attempts over his career, including 42.9% as a USC sophomore, his best season from long range. He has made 86.9% of his free throws.
The move comes as SMU begins Enfield’s third season and prepares for 2026-27 with a transfer class On3 ranked 21st nationally.
