The Cowboys are expected to be without safety Jalen Thompson for at least four weeks, executive vice president Stephen Jones said Monday. Dallas has not announced whether Thompson will be placed on injured reserve, although he is considered a possible candidate for the list.
Thompson left after suffering the hamstring injury in the second quarter of Dallas' 34-31 loss to the Ravens in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday. His absence further reduces the team's available safeties. Malik Hooker has missed the last two games with a forearm injury, and P.J. Locke went on injured reserve Saturday because of a foot injury.
Thompson had played every defensive snap through Dallas' first nine-plus quarters of the season before the injury. He had made 17 tackles during that span.
