In April 2025, he was traded to the Cowboys, where he gained experience by participating in four games, albeit without a starting role.
After being waived at the end of August, Milton chose to return to the Cowboys' practice squad, showing his confidence in the team's future. Schottenheimer and the coaching staff are supportive of Milton's decision, believing it will contribute to his development.
