The Dallas Cowboys agreed this week to extensions that could pay Ryan Flournoy and Brevyn Spann-Ford as much as $24 million combined. The contracts extend beyond the 2026 season, with Spann-Ford signed through 2029 and Flournoy under contract through 2027.
Flournoy’s one-year extension has a maximum value of $6 million. He had 40 catches, 475 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 2025, and the source reported that he is expected to move into a larger role as Dallas’ established No. 3 receiver. His size and athletic ability allow him to play each of the three receiver spots in the Cowboys’ 11-personnel formations.
The deal also could help maintain the group of top receivers if George Pickens leaves after the current season.
Spann-Ford’s three-year agreement is worth up to $18 million, with $12.075 million guaranteed. He joined the NFL in 2024 as an undrafted free agent and competed with Luke Schoonmaker for snaps behind Jake Ferguson last season. The contracts mark a shift from Dallas’ earlier practice of waiting for players to establish themselves.
Previous extensions for Terence Steele, Jaylon Smith, Dak Prescott, Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland came after those players had demonstrated success.
