Both Baylor and Louisiana Tech will have new starting quarterbacks Saturday, with Nate Bennett making his second straight start for the Bears and Trey Kukuk taking the opening assignment for the Bulldogs.

Baylor quarterback DJ Lagway will miss the matchup because of an ankle injury. Lagway, a transfer from Florida, was hurt in Baylor’s season-opening loss to Auburn. He also missed last week’s game against Prairie View A&M after being listed as doubtful for the Louisiana Tech matchup.

Bennett threw for 314 yards and accounted for four touchdowns against Prairie View A&M, but he also had two interceptions. Louisiana Tech starter Blake Baker is unavailable because of a hand injury. ESPN.com reported the quarterback updates.
