The team is left with just one full-time starter, Kaden Sieracki at right tackle, as they adapt to the loss of Memphis transfer Yakiri Walker, who was anticipated to start at center but is now coaching after his injunction was denied.
In response to Walker's departure, Koltin Sieracki has emerged as a top contender for the center position. Offensive line coach Austin Woods highlighted Koltin's substantial practice time over the summer, indicating he is ready to start against Auburn. Woods acknowledged Sieracki's effective leadership and high-level performance, noting his ability to communicate well on the field.
Koltin Sieracki, measuring 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 317 pounds, served as Baylor's sixth lineman last season, starting three games at both guard and center. Initially expected to play guard this year, he has now concentrated on center, a role he enjoys. "I actually prefer center," Sieracki remarked, emphasizing his comfort with the position's physical demands.
The offensive line's setup is still being finalized, with Texas transfer Nate Kibble and South Alabama transfer Asher Hale likely to play alongside Sieracki at guard. UAB transfer Logan Moore is assigned to left tackle, while Toledo transfer Cole Rhett is being used in multiple positions, suggesting he may be vying for a starting spot or could take on Sieracki's previous sixth lineman role.
Woods noted the steady progress of Rhett and Hale as they gain experience during fall camp, as the team readies for their match against Auburn.
