TCU has added Angela Stanford as an assistant coach for its women’s golf team, bringing back a former Horned Frogs player who set multiple program records. Stanford competed for TCU from 1996 through 2000 and is the school’s only four-time All-American. She also holds the program record with 10 victories.
Stanford’s coaching appointment follows her recent work as captain of the U.S. Solheim Cup team. TCU head coach Ravaioli-Larkin pointed to Stanford’s background as a major-championship winner and her Solheim Cup leadership when discussing the hire.
Ravaioli-Larkin said the program was very pleased to have Stanford return to TCU as its third coach. Stanford is from Saginaw, a community located about 15 miles from Fort Worth. TCU did not provide additional information about Stanford’s specific responsibilities with the team.
