Trevon Diggs has officially joined the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This signing marks the second cornerback addition for the Seahawks this week, following the acquisition of Terrion Arnold, who is currently facing significant legal challenges in Florida.

At 27 years old, Diggs has made a name for himself in the NFL, recording 20 interceptions and defending 63 passes throughout his career. He will likely vie for a spot in the Seahawks' secondary, which is currently experiencing injury issues.

Previously, Diggs signed a five-year contract extension worth $97 million with the Cowboys in July 2023. However, he participated in only 22 of 51 regular-season games over the following three years. His tenure with the Cowboys concluded after a series of events, including an unusual incident at home where he reported a television fell on him, resulting in an extended absence in 2025.

The Cowboys eventually waived him after he requested to stay in the Washington, D.C. area with his family following a Christmas Day game, a request that was denied. Shortly after his release, he was picked up by the Green Bay Packers. Further details regarding Diggs' position with the Seahawks and the team's plans for him remain undisclosed.
