Jacob Fields, a former safety for TCU, has been charged with aggravated assault by the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office. The complaint states that Fields struck Ezukanma in the head and may have kicked him while he was down. Following the incident, Fields surrendered to law enforcement on August 30 and was dismissed from the TCU football team on August 18. He later reached out to Ezukanma via text to express his apologies. The altercation is believed to have been prompted by Fields' frustration with his performance during practice.
