Princeton Opens at Home, With Allen and Prosper Later on the Card

Princeton opens the 2026 season Friday, Aug. 28 at home against North Garland.

The Panthers are ranked No. 290 in Texas by On3, with North Garland at No. 528 in a favorable opener.

Then the schedule turns

Princeton travels to McKinney North, ranked No. 298, on Thursday, Sept. 3, and hosts Newman Smith, ranked No. 382, on Sept. 11.

The two games that stand out arrive later. Allen, ranked No. 5 in Texas, and Prosper, ranked No. 12, both appear on Princeton's 10-game schedule, along with Walnut Grove at No. 53.

A fast-growing town's program

Princeton has been among the fastest-growing cities in the country, and its high school program is now scheduled against some of the largest and strongest in the state. The early games are where a record gets built; the later ones are where the program measures itself.
