Collin County approves $5,857.84 in child-safety fees for Princeton

Princeton’s third-quarter child-safety payment appears in the county’s Sept. 28 approval of claims, with a check dated Sept. 17.

Collin County commissioners approved a $5,857.84 payment to Princeton, Texas, for third-quarter child-safety fees on Sept. 28, 2026.

The county’s disbursement register lists the City of Princeton as payee on check 565886, dated Sept. 17, 2026. The payment was part of the claims approved in Court Order 2026-1077-09-28.

Collin County’s fiscal 2026 fee schedule includes a $1.50 child-safety fee on vehicle registrations. Texas law provides for sharing that revenue with municipalities according to population after permitted county deductions.
