The app-based dining platform Wonder is preparing to open a new location in McKinney, Texas, as part of a broader expansion into the state. The company confirmed that it plans to launch more than 100 new sites across Texas beginning in early 2027. This upcoming McKinney venue will be situated within the West Grove development, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
McKinney is located approximately 7 miles west of Princeton. The specific site for the Wonder location is identified as 8555 W. University Drive, Ste. 100. The filing indicates that the physical space will cover nearly 3,800 square feet. Construction costs to complete the build-out of this space are estimated at $950,000. The company has not yet provided a specific date for when the restaurant will open to the public.
Wonder operates as a digital platform that allows customers to combine dishes from more than 20 different restaurants into a single order. The menu features made-to-order items spanning various cuisines. The kitchen collaborates with notable chefs, including Bobby Flay, and partners with established eateries such as Tejas Barbecue. The platform also includes its own concepts, such as Pop Salad.
The physical locations associated with the brand offer dine-in and pickup options, along with free delivery services. While the McKinney site is part of the new wave of Texas locations, the company currently operates more than 100 sites across 10 states, primarily along the East Coast. Further details regarding the specific timeline for the McKinney opening remain unclear.
