Mariners Rout Astros 10-5 Behind Young's Multi-Run Blast

Early Offense Sets the Tone

Houston added one final run when Walker grounded out to second, allowing Altuve to score. The game featured three total home runs: Vázquez for the Astros, Paredes for the Astros, and Young for the Mariners.

Young also recorded four RBIs in the loss for Houston's pitching staff, though the Mariners' bullpen secured the final outs.

Emerson Hancock earned the win for Seattle, pitching seven innings while allowing five hits and two earned runs. He walked two batters and struck out eight. Jose Ferrer pitched one inning, allowing two hits and two earned runs.

Seranthony Dominguez pitched one inning, allowing one hit and one earned run with no walks. For Houston, Hayden Wesneski took the loss, pitching four innings and allowing seven hits and five earned runs. He walked one and struck out six.
