Princeton Gas Prices Climb to $3.9694 as Monthly Costs Rise — October 1, 2026

Regular unleaded averages $3.9694 in the Dallas area, up from yesterday, up from last week and above the Texas average.

Princeton, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.9694 per gallon for regular unleaded on October 1, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.9114 yesterday. That is up from $3.9214 a week ago but higher than $3.7018 a month ago.

The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.9427, while the national average is $4.4137. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying above the state average and below the national average.

The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 27 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.7382, drivers are paying about 123 cents more per gallon.

Diesel in the Dallas area averages $5.7587 per gallon, AAA reported.
