Regular unleaded averages $3.6420 in the Dallas area, down from yesterday, down from last week and below the Texas average.

Princeton, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.6420 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 29, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.6720 yesterday. That is down from $3.7050 a week ago and higher than $3.1620 a month ago.

The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.6550, while the national average is $4.0910. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying below the state average and below the national average.

The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 48 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.9020, drivers are paying about 74 cents more per gallon.

Diesel in the Dallas area averages $5.1470 per gallon, AAA reported.
