Princeton, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.7530 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 24, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.7620 yesterday. That is up from $3.6680 a week ago but higher than $3.2260 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.7090, while the national average is $4.1050. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 53 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.9490, drivers are paying about 80 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $4.9700 per gallon, AAA reported.
