Princeton, Texas — The Cowboys have added Will Grier to their offensive staff, moving the former quarterback into a coaching post before camp.
The move reunites him with Brian Schottenheimer and Dak Prescott in the Cowboys organization.
The July 24 announcement followed Grier’s retirement from playing. ESPN reported that his decision came July 15 after an offseason spent with the Panthers.
Princeton-area Cowboys supporters will see the coaching hire take effect with camp next week.
Carolina selected Grier in the third round in 2019. He later had two separate Cowboys stints, largely in preseason and practice-squad roles.
