Neighborhood block parties will mark National Night Out across Princeton on Tuesday evening, and enough elected and appointed officials may turn up that the city posted a formal notice about it.

The city calendar lists the event from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6.

A notice of possible quorum, posted Sept. 30 by Deputy City Secretary Lisa Johnston, says members of the City Council, the Community Development Corporation, the Economic Development Corporation, the Planning & Zoning Commission, the Library Advisory Board, the Parks & Recreation Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment may attend activities at one or more of these locations:

  • Arcadia Farms
  • DeBerry Estates
  • 899 E. Hazelwood
  • Trails of Riverstone
  • Princeton Lakes
  • Windmore

The notice says no formal action will be taken and no deliberation on public business is expected.

DeBerry Estates was added in a second version of the notice; an earlier posting on Sept. 29 listed the other five sites.

The Parks Advisory Board meeting that had been set for the same evening was canceled and moved to Thursday, Oct. 8, at 6:30 p.m., according to the city calendar.
