CeeDee Lamb finished with 112 receiving yards, but the Dallas Cowboys fell to Baltimore 34-31 Sunday in Rio de Janeiro. The Ravens won on Tyler Loop’s 56-yard field goal as time expired at Maracanã, where 72,792 people were announced in attendance for the NFL’s first game in Rio.
Dallas led 10-0 after Brandon Aubrey’s 28-yard field goal and Javonte Williams’ 2-yard touchdown run. Baltimore answered with two Derrick Henry rushing touchdowns, a Loop field goal and Chris Moore’s 4-yard touchdown to take a 24-13 lead late in the third quarter. Dak Prescott’s 19-yard touchdown pass to Jake Ferguson, followed by a two-point catch by Lamb, cut the margin to three.
KaVontae Turpin’s 9-yard touchdown then put Dallas ahead 28-24 early in the fourth.
The Ravens regained the lead when Lamar Jackson connected with rookie tight end Matt Hibner for a 2-yard score with 1:30 remaining. Aubrey’s 23-yard kick made it 31-31 with seven seconds left, but Jackson completed a 27-yard pass to Zay Flowers and Baltimore stopped the clock with one second remaining. Prescott went 25-for-40 for 276 yards and one touchdown.
Williams had 98 yards on 19 carries, while Jackson completed 15 of 20 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns. Dallas is 1-2, and Baltimore is 2-1.
